Twice a Year,  LACES has a family dinner night called LACESBigEat  We have 5 restaurants all over the city to serve our community.

Who attends?
Big EAT is an ALL LACES event.  Both Middle & High School families, staff, teachers  are invited!!!

Where are the flyers?
Click on the links above and it will take you to the information about each restaurant and there is a flyer you can download and print.

Who gets the fundraising profits?
FOL will put the funds into the general account serving the whole school however we are dedicating 50% of BIG EAT proceeds to help offset graduation activities expenses for the class of 2018.

Why are we doing BIG EAT?
Yes we love to bring in fundraising dollars to FOL and LACES. But we also know that we benefit whenever we build up our community.

Many of us drop off our kid at LACES or at bus stops and in truth feel a wee bit disconnected from the community.   When our kids were in elementary school it was easy to get to know one another. It just sort of happened.   Now all our families are spread out farther and of course our kids are older and don't need as much 'hand holding.'   But at the end of the day a lot of us just wish we knew a few more people.  Or at the very least it would be nice to meet our kids' friends and their families.

Can I invite someone special like one of my kid's teacher or a staffer?
Sure why not?  Send  a note and say, "Hey, let me treat you to dinner.  Join us at..."

One more thing for our high school parents....
A lot of our high school parents are probably feeling a little removed from their almost-grown-up kid.
Perhaps said kid is digging in and hanging out with his or her world and giving you parents a wee bit of a cold shoulder...sure, that's fine, that's what they are supposed to do.

But why don't you push back a bit and say..."Hey, let's go out to dinner on April 25  and you take that almost-grown-up kid and his or her buddy out to eat.   And you guys go and have a fun, cozy meal at one of the Big Eat restaurant and talk about whatever you talk about.   And then soon your kid will be out of the house in college finding their way and it will be nice for both of you to think about that warm and cozy Big Eat family dinner night way back then...when you sat at the table and talk about this and that.....

...A real dessert is a...
